The 13th “Jiuzhou Cup” Global Wheel Design Competition will kick off in July 2025. The list of finalists selected after the preliminary review will be announced on January 15, 2026, and the final winners will be revealed on January 30, 2026.

The awards ceremony will be held on March 21, 2026, at the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center during the Jiuzhou Automotive Ecology Expo. We’re fortunate to be there in person to applaud you and witness your glorious, dazzling moment.

Jia Congshan—Gold Award Winner: a masterful fusion of professional design and aesthetic sensibility. Inspired by the scales of the dragon, this piece boasts an exceptionally three-dimensional texture, a striking sense of geometric order and visual tension, and a high-tech juxtaposition of black background with golden patterns that exudes cutting-edge sophistication. Even in static form, it delivers a dynamic visual experience, with a luxurious tactile quality and unmistakable brand identity.

The fish-tail design is truly distinctive: each individual tail is a classic triangle, with hollowed-out sections between the arrays to reduce weight and distribute force evenly around the circumference. This bold, lively, and open approach makes it a standout work by an exceptional designer.

The surface finish leans toward a ceramic texture, and in recent years, products that mimic this ceramic look have become increasingly common.

Reflections on the 2025 “Jiuzhou Cup” Global Wheel Design Competition

This exhibition has profoundly underscored how the competition, with “Driving Vision and Symbiosis” at its core, brings together global creativity to showcase the Eastern aesthetic and technological prowess of wheel design. Gold-winning entries such as “Dragon Scales” seamlessly integrate traditional culture, lightweight manufacturing techniques, and aerodynamics, demonstrating fresh conceptual thinking, exquisite craftsmanship, and strong practical applicability—all hallmarks of the industry’s highest standards.

This competition is not only a platform for creative excellence but also a hub for integrating industry, academia, and research, showcasing China’s wheel design industry’s transformative leap from “catching up” to “leading the way.” All participants have broken new ground with meticulous craftsmanship and empowered innovation, earning our utmost respect and admiration.
